At Dorm Check, there's a discussion going re: why Britney shaved her head.

Some couldn't believe that it was even her picture. Others thought that she was trying to get attention. As for myself, I remembered this old-fashioned poem/lullaby.

This is what I believe about Britney--who is also, from what I understand, going into rehab.

Her life is in shambles, and she wants to get back to a simpler time before her troubles began--perhaps, clear back to babyhood.

Shaving her head is probably symbolic to her of making a fresh start--becoming like a baby without all of the burdens of adulthood and starting a new life.

She hopes to grow along with her hair.

If I'm right on this hunch, I find that admirable, and she should be encouraged instead of discouraged...should find more extended hands around her and fewer pointing fingers.
